Are you looking for a summer internship that would allow you to show what you can do while gaining international work experience? Then look no further, Vaisala Giant Leap is the program for you. We will hire up to 20 students for a period of three months next summer to work on assignments that deal with real-life challenges and have genuine business relevance.

Vaisala is a global leader in environmental and industrial measurements. Our products and services help improve the quality of everyday life by providing critically important information on weather and other environmental conditions for the needs of meteorologists, weather critical operations such as airports, road authorities and wind parks, and tigthly controlled industrial environments.

As a Vaisala Giant Leap intern, you'll have a chance to gain meaningful and valuable work experience in a company that is the market leader in its field. The subject and scope of projects vary from manufacturing and R&D assignments to strategy and business intelligence efforts. Last summer our interns worked on improving the manufacturability of a sensor, the development of surface weather observation systems, and assessing global business opportunites for a specific Vaisala application, for example.

The Vaisala Giant Leap program is designed for students with a variety of skills, qualities and educational backgrounds. We expect you to actively pursue a degree in a university or polytechnic, but motivation, proactiveness and intellectual curiosity are more important selection criteria than specific academic achievements.
